KIRKLAND, WA - October 26, 2026 - Net-Inspect®, a secure, cloud-based quality management and supply chain visibility platform used by more than 11,000 companies in 59 countries, today announced that FedRAMP® has granted FedRAMP Class C (Moderate) Certification to Net-Inspect Enterprise Quality Management (EQM). The certification, granted Oct. 13, 2026, confirms that Net-Inspect EQM meets the FedRAMP security requirements at Class C, the certification class FedRAMP uses for the Moderate baseline.
For defense contractors, the cloud systems that hold quality records are part of the compliance picture. DFARS 252.204-7012 and the CMMC program rule (32 CFR Part 170) expect cloud service providers that store, process or transmit controlled unclassified information (CUI) to meet the FedRAMP Moderate baseline or its equivalent. Inspection reports, measurement data and supplier documentation often carry that kind of controlled technical data. With certification, Net-Inspect customers no longer need an equivalency argument for their quality system, and their IT teams, OEM customers and auditors can check the status directly on the FedRAMP Marketplace. Certification supports each contractor's own DFARS and CMMC obligations; it does not replace them.
"For seven years, Net-Inspect has maintained the FedRAMP Moderate security baseline, with independent annual assessments validating our commitment to protecting critical aerospace and defense quality data," said Landyn Knipp, CEO of Net-Inspect. "Achieving FedRAMP certification builds on that longstanding commitment, providing our customers with formal FedRAMP recognition of the security standards we have upheld since 2019, while simplifying their own compliance and supplier qualification processes."
"Certification is the result of years of independent assessment and a team that treats security as part of the product," said Ron Trout, VP, General Manager at Net-Inspect. "Our engineering team worked through every stage with Coalfire, from the Readiness Assessment to the final security assessment, and closed it out with no open POA&M items. For our customers, that means one clear answer when an auditor or OEM asks how their quality data is protected."
"Achieving FedRAMP certification requires both persistence and adaptability," said Adam Shnider, EVP, Assessment Services at Coalfire. "Net-Inspect demonstrated their ability to successfully pivot from a FedRAMP equivalency approach to adopting the new FedRAMP certification requirements, navigating a changing landscape with discipline and focus. Their commitment to meeting the highest standards of security and compliance was evident throughout the process, and we are proud to have partnered with them on this important milestone."
What certification means for Net-Inspect customers:
Certification completes a path that began in 2019, when Net-Inspect started maintaining FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency, with an independent assessment every year against the NIST SP 800-53 Moderate baseline. In 2025, the company engaged Coalfire Systems, a FedRAMP recognized Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO). After Coalfire's Readiness Assessment, FedRAMP designated Net-Inspect EQM FedRAMP Ready in January 2026. FedRAMP then reviewed the security package from Coalfire's full assessment of the FedRAMP Moderate baseline, which closed with zero open findings, and granted certification on Oct. 13.
Net-Inspect EQM is hosted exclusively in Microsoft Azure Government in U.S.-based data centers, with military (ITAR) and commercial (EAR) export controls built into the platform and system access restricted to background-checked U.S. citizens. Nothing changes in how customers use Net-Inspect. What changes is that the security standard behind it is now formally certified, and Net-Inspect will maintain it through FedRAMP's continuous monitoring requirements.
